About us

GeniuSoft provides engineering tools to commercial and residential engineering firms in the fields of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. These tools include AutoCAD Multi-View Parts (mvparts), which are three-dimensional "blocks" that contain custom part properties.

Some examples of these mvpart properties are: Manufacturer, Model, Size, Capacity, Weight, etc. These parts are powerful in that they allow the Specifying Engineer to select the type, size, style, etc. of equipment they need to insert into a drawing from pull-down menus, and all the properties for that specific part are brought in with the three-dimensional representation of the equipment. Each piece of equipment also has pre-sized Connections defined for Ductwork and Piping.

After the equipment has been selected and inserted into the drawing, additional properties can be edited by the Specifying Engineer for use in Schedules. Some examples of these additional properties are Supply Air CFM, Outdoor Air CFM, External Static Pressure, Selection Temperatures, Area Served, Options & Accessories, etc. Some of these additional properties have internal calculations in them, such as a Mixed Air calculation to determine Entering Air Temperatures based on Supply & Outdoor Air CFM values. The Specifying Engineer then inserts a Schedule Table, which uses all the properties from the equipment to fill in the schedule.
