Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and other forms through PayPal. If you wish to pay by Check or Money Order, please contact us at payments@geniusoftllc.com
Q: How many computers can I install your mvparts on?
A: You are licensed to use the mvparts on any computer that is at your physical office location. The License Agreement does not allow you to share the mvparts across a network (such as a VPN) to remote computers.
Q: If I purchase your complete mvpart package now, and later you upload more parts, will I receive those parts too?
A: If you purchase the entire HVAC package, you will receive a 20% discount on any future purchases. You will be notified by e-mail when additional parts are uploaded.
Q: How do I receive the mvparts?
A: After your purchase is made, a download link will be e-mailed to you with your User License. If you would like, in lieu of the download link, we can mail you a CD.
Q: When I insert a Multi-view Part, why aren't some of the lines (like clearance lines) showing up?
A: Your display properties are not showing the "Schematic" and/or "Schematic Screened" display representations for your current View. Go to Menu > Format > Display Manager, click "+" sign for the "Sets" tab, scroll down to the name of the view you are using (for example, MEP Design - Plan, it will show up Bold), select the "Multi-View Part" Object, check the box for "Schematic" and/or "Schematic Screened" display representations, click OK. Q: Will I also receive the Tool Palette, Tags, and Schedules when I purchase the mvparts?
A: You will only receive the Tool Palette, Tags, and Schedules if you purchase the entire HVAC package. Due to conflicts between different versions of AutoCAD and different types of network configurations, GeniuSoft cannot guarantee that the Tool Palette and Tags will work correctly. Unfortunately, this is a problem inherit to AutoCAD and out of GeniuSoft's control.
Q: How do I import the GeniuSoft Tool Palette into AutoCAD?
A: You will want to extract the Tool Palette files into your default Catalog location (C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Autodesk\My Content Browser Library\ACD-MEP 2009), then follow the steps shown in this video.
